Wentworth Village Car Park
Fitzwilliam Wentworth Amenity Trust
The village of Wentworth, near Rotherham, is part of the Wentworth Estate. It lies adjacent to Wentworth Park, within which stands the great country house Wentworth Woodhouse. The precise origin of the village is unknown. The oldest surviving building dates to the 13th century and the village grew and developed, supporting the growth of the Estate, over several centuries. The majority of buildings within the village date to the 18th or 19th centuries and the village is in a Conservation Area.
In September 2013, Erika carried out a landscape assessment of the village car park on behalf of the Amenity Trust. To visit the village website click here.
